Q: Why can’t I edit the certificate number of an equipment item?

A: Certificate Numbers are a read only field in Ex-Online, this is because the data is populated from the documents attached to the item. In order to change the certificate number users should either upload a new certificate if it is currently missing or incorrect, or modify the details of the existing certificate in the case of a typo.

Q: Why can’t I attach a certificate for my associated equipment to my equipment item?

A: In Ex-Online items are restricted to only one certificate as this is used to populate data in the Tag Browser. Certificates for associated equipment should be attached to the associated equipment item and then linked with the equipment item.

Q: Can I bulk edit items by uploading the import template spread sheet

A: No, we do not support bulk editing items through upload. The import template is only used to import new items

Q: I accidentally deleted a document from an item, is there any way to get it back?

A: Yes, if the document is still linked to at least one other item it is still saved in your dossier and can simply be relinking (refer to link). If the document was not linked to any other items then you will either need to upload the document again (refer to link) or restore a backup.

Q: Where can I download the latest copy of the import template?

A: The Downloads page is where you can download the latest version of the import template. It can be accessed through the link provided or through the help menu.
